A Concert For People, Peace and the Planet

Tuesday, September 2, 2008
The Fitzgerald Theater, Saint Paul, MN

The Republican National Convention is coming to the Twin Cities in September, and wouldn’t it be a shame if there was no one to play some deafening power chords in celebration? Our line-up will offer relief from the constant trumpeting and stampedes of agitated elephants. Maybe you should come down and do some trumpeting yourself!

  • Nellie McKay
  • Dan Wilson
  • The Honeydogs
  • The New Standards
  • Haley Bonar
  • Matt Wilson and John Munson are "The Twilight Hours"
  • Jeremy Messersmith
  • Maria Isa

Warning! This roster is subject to the addition of super-secret guests!

Get tickets!

Purchase tickets online at Ticketmaster.

Advance tickets can also be purchased at The Fitzgerald Theater Box Office.

The Traffic Factor:
Not a Factor

Visitors entering St. Paul via Interstate 94 will be pleased to know that exits and roads leading to the Fitzgerald Theater concert site will be open on Tuesday, including the 10th Street, Exchange and Wabasha exits. Here's a nice map (PDF) that shows precisely where you can drive, and it looks like all roads lead to Provention, and – perhaps by extension – health care for all Americans, peace on earth, and a renewable energy future! (Are we reading too much into this map?)
